The Return of The Jonas Brothers

The ‘‘Happiness Tour’‘ is the name the J-Bros chose to give to their comeback. A long awaited return, of a brothers-band that has made our teenage years. Kevin, Joe and nick started their World-Tour in Miami on August 7th, 2019 and will conclude in Paris on February 22, 2020.

Here are some interesting facts to celebrate their return, and also to get back in touch with our teenager selves!

Their First World Tour was 10 Years Ago

The Jonas Brothers’ first World Tour was in 2009 and started in Peru. They were already huge, after the series and films in which they appeared. Although they were still young, their talent allowed them to be known throughout the world. It’s just so hard to believe that it has been this long!

The Separation

By 2013, and as they were getting older, the problems and creative differences between the brothers began. Kevin was getting married, Joe was going through break-ups, but it was Nick who proposed the separation of the group. He later on admitted that he was so afraid it would ruin their relationship. Eventually, each member of the band ended up doing their own thing. Kevin and his wife did a reality show, Joe started his own band, and Nick traveled the world while making his solo songs.

It has been 11 long years since Camp Rock came out. This Disney Channel movie was a global hit. Not only has it made the 3 brothers pop icons, it also created a career for Demi Lovato.

The Jonas Brothers are back to perform together, create songs together and share the joy of their fans. Although their return is most-likely the most anticipated this year, they are no longer the band we knew when we were younger. Kevin is father, Nick is married to Priyanka Chopra, and Joe literally just got married to Sophie Turner, the Game of Thrones star.

You can wear the top half high on your head for a more statement-making look, or the midway down the head for a simple, yet classic look. Either way, it’s simple and making a serious comeback.

Hair accessories are growing in popularity, and this fall the bow is bound to be the item to wear. Ribbons with an interesting texture, like velvet, are especially great for catching all eyes and perfectly pairing with darker fall colors. What’s more, this look is extremely simple to achieve if you’re running late in the morning. You can tie a bow around a ponytail or just around your hair as a bow-tied headband.

Low Ponytail

Although Ariana Grande made the high ponytail a popular trend to try, the style we really will be latching onto this fall season is the low ponytail. This loose, relaxed version will ensure both a) your scalp doesn’t hurt from a top style and b) you look effortlessly slick. Although this style is easy to accomplish, it’s also easy to go wrong...we recommend spraying a shine or gloss in your hair to make your fall hair look fashion forward, not frumpy.

Are Biotin Pills Truly The Beauty Cure-All?

Women around the world aim to get the best hair, skin, and nails that they can. This often includes turning to different fad creams, superfoods, and some might say questionable practices. Most recently, biotin pills have been considered the cure-all beauty vitamin to promise the best of all three. However, are all the supposed benefits really scientifically proven?

Biotin Pills Bought At A Booming Rate

It is clear that the reported benefits of biotin have women crazy for the vitamin. In fact, 20 percent of people who take supplements in the US say they take this pill for beauty purposes. And biotin isn’t the only beauty supplement being taken. In 2016 the beauty supplement market was $133 billion worldwide! Many beauty experts believe this approach comes from the new trend of «beauty from within.»

While the phrase originated as a way for people to focus on the personality attributes of individuals over the superficial, it has transformed as a nutritional beauty approach. Biotin pills have been at the forefront for supplements taken by women, given its affordability and 3-in-1 claims.

Do The Supplement Claims Stack Up?

It’s not a straightforward answer, largely due to the fact supplements in the US don’t need human trials to prove their «beauty benefits.» Therefore, many supplements don’t have any scientific trials, or only studies that were paid for by the company, thus killing a lot of its reliability. Additionally, some ingredients do work topically, but if ingested in a pill don’t work.

Several vitamins like Vitamin C and E have repeatedly proven their beauty benefits. Biotin however, has only been proven to help individuals that have a true biotin deficiency in their system. Otherwise, researchers say there is limited data to show if people with normal biotin levels actually gain any benefits from using a supplement. This is true for the majority of vitamins and supplements on the market; they only work if you have a true vitamin deficiency in your system.

That said, if you are thinking about taking any supplements in the future for beauty purposes, you should ask your doctors if they think you personally could benefit from taking a supplement. Otherwise, don’t waste your money!

Series that are coming back to Netflix this Fall

Netflix is preparing a strong comeback for many shows starting September 2019.

Since Netflix appeared, it’s safe to say that it has become our best friend. Binge watching our favorite shows is fun until they are over, and we have to wait months for the new seasons. Luckily, this fall many of our favorite series are coming back, and here are a few of the best ones to keep an eye for. 

This list is about everything coming out on Netflix from September 1st onwards.

Elite (Season 2)

considered as one of the best foreign shows on Netflix for the moment, this Spanish serie explores the world of money, power, and love (of course, with a hint of drama.)

The show is returning on October, 4th!

Narcos Mexico (Season 2)

This show has been gaining continuous attention since the very first season that discussed the interesting life of the biggest drug dealer in history, Pablo Escobar. Narcos deals with the war on drugs, cartels, and the vicious corruption in South American countries. 

For all the fans of the show, it will ready for you to binge watch on Netflix starting November, 16th. 

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (season 3)

Sabrina Spellman must face her nature as half witch and half mortal while fighting the forces of evil that threaten her, her family and the world in which humans inhabit. 

Managers are already in talk for a 4th season, while the third one will be back on Netflix this October. 

Fuller House (Season 5)

As a kid, everyone loved Full House. The family bond, the hilarious interactions and the Olsen twins have definitely made so many people’s childhood. Although the show is not exactly the same anymore, we are still looking forward to see uncle Jesse.

 The 5th season of the show will be airing back on Netflix sometime before the end of the year.

Lizzie McGuire Returns With A Millennial Reboot

«This is what dreams are made of!» This past week, Hilary Duff shared some major news that instantly brought us back to our childhood. Our favorite spunky blonde «Lizzie McGuire», is returning to TV with a new series reboot!

The Lizzie McGuire Announcement We Needed

At the Disney D23 Expo, Hilary took to the stage to announce she would be returning as the star of the show, as the grown up 30 year old version of Lizzie now working in Manhattan.

The original series was on «The Disney Channel» from 2001 to 2004, and revolved around the struggles and drama effaced by 13 year old Lizzie in middle school. It catapulted to international success, most famously with «The Lizzie McGuire Movie.» It had every girl dreaming of throwing a coin into the Trevi Fountain and finding her own Paolo.

Transitioning With The Times

The new series will still center on Lizzie’s struggles, but this time as a 30 year old millennial in the Big Apple. The original show’s creator Terry Minsky will also be returning to work on this new series. However, there is still no word on whether the other original cast members will be returning for an appearance as well.

Where Can We Catch Lizzie McGuire?

The only downside to this revival is that the show will be streamed on Disney+. This means only members will have access to watching our beloved blonde. *Sigh* Luckily, the platform is fairly cheap. For only $6.99 a month, you can have access to «Lizzie McGuire» plus all of the Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars movies you know and love.

Time Will Only Tell…

The new «Lizzie McGuire» is not set to be released until 2020, so until then fans can only predict what crazy new adventures will be in store. Our personal favorite predictions were created and shared in a thread on twitter by @auntanxiety. Only time will tell!

It’s Time To Amp Up Pink In Your Style (Again)

Pink has been a popular color for… centuries. Yet it seems to be having another recent comeback. Just take one look at the runways or even your local makeup store. Pink is everywhere again, but it’s not the hue that is calling our attention. It’s how it is being worn with all new twists.

No more do we just stick to a soft pink lip color! Now there are long-lasting lip stains, eye shadow hues, blushes, and accessories to complete your look for any occasion.

Why Do We Love Pink?

This color is great to add back into your style routine for several reasons. The primary is that it is truly a universal color. While certain reds and oranges can have a harsh effect on different skin tones, pinks have enough color that is not too shocking to compliment any skin tone or hair combination.

Not only can it blend well, but pink can be statement making too. Just look to Megan Rapinoe, the forward from the US Women’s National Soccer Team who made headlines this past World Cup for her athletic prowess, political stances, and yes, her hair! Her look became so iconic, that it actually inspired stylists Riawna Capri and Joey Perrotti to name a new hue after her: Rapinkoe.
