If anyone has made you feel ashamed because of the «orange peel», you can work your deserved «Hot Girl Summer» and sashay away, or educate them with the facts. Better yet, do both!

During the sweltering days of summer, the thought of putting on a swimsuit can be daunting, especially if you’re nervous or worried about what others might be thinking about your backside. There are definitely measures that can help to reduce the appearance of cellulite, but the fact of the matter is, it is 100% NATURAL! With Photoshop and Facetune making women in our Instagram feeds and on the magazine stands looking absolutely flawless, it can make us feel like we are the problem. Truth is, 80-98% of the female population has cellulite. So why do we waste so much time and energy fretting over it?

Unjustified Insecurities

For many women, there is the fear of judgement by their peers, or that men won’t be attracted to them for not having a perfectly smooth rear. However, if you just ask your male friends like this woman did, you might be pleasantly surprised to learn guys couldn’t care less about cellulite. (Unless he’s a serious jerk, in which you’re most definitely better off without him.)

What Exactly Is Cellulite?

So what exactly is cellulite? This skin dimpling is formed by fat deposits that press through connective collagen fibers beneath the skin. And size has zero to do with it. Women of all sizes can get cellulite, because it is largely controlled by hereditary and hormonal factors.

Cellulite appears primarily on the areas of the body with least circulation, which is why we often see it on the back part of our legs. If you are concerned about the appearance, doing strength training exercises such as lunges and squats can help to reduce the dimpling. Your blood circulation will increase from the exercise, and the muscle toning will help to fill out the areas. Regardless, it’s most important to feel comfortable with who you are this summer (and always)!

The Most Shocking Bachelorette Finale EVER

Even if you’re not a die-hard fan, the majority of us have at least caught a glimpse of The Bachelor/Bachelorette Series. While it’s fairly ridiculous to believe someone will find true love from 2 months of dating on a reality show competition, we can’t help but relish in the drama. This season proved to be no exception to the case, with Hannah B having the most insane and shocking Bachelorette Finale EVER.

To give a quick update for those who didn’t watch this season: the main Bachelorette looking for love was Hannah Brown, former contestant on The Bachelor season 23. This Alabama native was known for being the spunky country gal who was always up for some candid goofy fun. She was ultimately chosen for The Bachelorette for this reason, as she decided to pursue her soulmate one more time among 30 wooing lads.

Fast Forward To The Finale

There was lots of drama throughout the season, but the finale is what really took the cake. Fans were heartbroken that Hannah gave her final rose to country singer Jed Wyatt, ending the relationship with the Tyler Cameron, the crowd favorite.Once she made her decision, Jed Wyatt went down on one knee and he proposed to Hannah. Which naturally, she accepted (and would soon regret).

The Drama Ensues

However, unbeknownst to Hannah, Jed had been DATING ANOTHER GIRL! The full reveal was shared in People magazine, with an interview with the girlfriend, Haley Stevens. Stevens said Wyatt decided to go on the show after they had been dating for four months as a way to catapult his career. Even though The Bachelorette is a total publicity stunt, to go on the show while DATING ANOTHER is just criminal!

A Frenzy For The Finale

Once Hannah found out about the bomb, fans were scared she’d make the mistake of sticking with Jed. When she confronted him, he tried to come up with an excuse but it fell flat. Thankfully, she didn’t put up with the lies and she RIPPED OFF THE RING!

A Second Chance At Love

After she ripped off the ring, Hannah went for some remorse… and asked Tyler if he would give her another chance. Many fans were happy that he did indeed accept the offer to go on a date together. However, others felt the pain of being the «second choice,» a place that Tyler never deserves.

Whether the two will last the rest of the summer and if Jed will get back with his other gf are both big question marks, but we’re sure the tabloids will help us follow the drama that’s sure to ensue.

Además, cuando estamos todo el día haciendo cosas a menudo se nos olvida beber suficiente agua. Aun así, no solo importa que bebamos bien, sino también influye la comida que ingerimos.

La deshidratación tiene un montón de consecuencias serias para la salud. Entre ellas está el envejecimiento de la piel. Normalmente utilizamos protección solar, pero a menudo no es suficiente. La vitamina E se encuentra en alimentos como el aceite de oliva virgen o los huevos. Los que contienen betacarotenos son la zanahoria, las verduras oscuras y la calabaza. Por último, los que tienen licopeno son la sandía, los tomates, los albaricoques, y otros por el estilo.

Useful tips to get you through summer

Summer is finally here. Great weather, a perfectly bronzed skin, long days on the beach… Things couldn’t be better. However, not everything is as good as it seems.

This time of the year comes hand in hand with certain difficulties like mosquito bite or thigh rashes. We bring you some tips and tricks to get rid of the annoying issues that may arise as we enjoy the sunny weather.

A nice and cool fort

Feeling overwhelmed by the summer heat happens to the best of us. Sometimes is gets so bad that the only thing we want is spend the day in the pool or in the sea. As we realize this is not always possible, we bring you a super fun trick to have a little nice and cool «me-space».

Fan summer heat

Place a fan in front of your bed and take some empty sheets. Grab them by the opening (where you would normally put the duvet in) and turn the fan on to let the air fill the sheets. You’ll see how you’ve created your own little fort between your sheets. Now you’ll be able to enjoy your favorite book in this little space made just for you…¡and feel super cool!

Mosquito bites

Although one of the best parts about summer are the dreamy long summer nights, one of the worst parts is the annoying mosquito bites that fill our skins. Some may be more affected and some less, but none of us are safe from the ocasional mosquito bite.

If you’re someone who can’t handle these annoying bites, you’re going to love this tip. It eases the itch amazingly, and gets rid of the bumps you are usually left with the next day. Simply rub half a lemon on top of the bite and it’ll be a matter of minutes before the itch goes away. You have the citric acid to thank you. It’s the best!

Irritated skin

During the summer we tend to shave more often, which is why our skin is more prone to getting irritated. Either because of how we shave, or because it’s time to throw your razor away, irritated skin can be very annoying.

Tea bags

A great tip to relieve irritation is using a green tea teabag. Make some tea and once it’s done, put the teabag in the freezer. When the bag is frozen, rub it on the affected area. You’ll see how in ten minutes the irritation has fully disappeared.

Thigh rash

Summer heat and shorts are the perfect recipe for disaster when it comes to our thighs. It often happens that they start rubbing together causing an awful, hurtful rash.

To be able to enjoy the summer without having to think about the irritation between your legs, a good idea is applying some baby powder to the area. This way, you’ll prevent your thighs from rubbing together as much and you’ll be able to ease the pain.

It often happens, especially during the hottest days, that we apply some eyeliner and it doesn’t even stay put for half an hour. You look in the mirror and you already look like a raccoon.

A great tip to have your eyeliner stay in place after you’ve applied it is using a thin brush to apply some black eye-shadow on top. That way you’ll be able to make it stay in place, and you won’t have to worry about black stains.

Cada vez más gente se une a la última tendencia de moda: llevar una dieta vegetariana. Y es que, cada vez más se demuestra lo nefasta que es la industria de la carne para el medio ambiente, e incluso para nuestra propia salud. Por supuesto, también entra en juego el sufrimiento por el que los animales deben pasar solo para darnos de comer.

Aun así, entendemos que un cambio tan drástico puede venir con muchas dificultades. Por ello, te traemos algunos consejitos para que puedas llevar el cambio de vida de la mejor forma posible, y así asegurarte de no tirar la toalla enseguida.

1. La clave está en informarse bien

Informarse

Llevar una dieta vegetariana puede resultar complicado para muchos, ya que muy poca gente se ha criado en un entorno de ese estilo. Por ello, a menudo no sabemos del todo cómo debería ser una dieta vegetariana correcta y saludable. Cosa que nos puede llevar a tener carencias en ciertos nutrientes.

Un ejemplo de carencia común en gente que no se informa bien es la de la vitamina B12. Esta vitamina es esencial para numerosas funciones vitales, por lo que una falta de ella nos podría causar multitud de problemas de salud.

2. Acércate a gente en tu misma situación

Sumérgete en comunidades de gente que busca lo mismo que tú. No tienes ni idea de la cantidad de gente que se encuentra en tu misma posición. Incluso puedes hacer esto de manera online: adéntrate en foros y comunidades donde prevalezca el apoyo mutuo y ese mismo estilo de vida que tu buscas.

Te será más fácil el proceso si te apoyas en otras personas y compartís todo tipo de experiencias. Otra idea también puede ser acudir a lugares como puedan ser los restaurantes vegan-friendly. ¡Verás como conoces un montón de gente!

3. Pasito a pasito

Dejar de comer carne por completo es un cambio enorme en tu vida, así que tómatelo con calma. Tanto tu mente como tu cuerpo necesitan aclimatarse durante esta transición, así que no quieras dejarlo todo de golpe.

Comienza, por ejemplo reduciendo los días en que comes carne: escoge un día donde no puedas comer nada de carne. Y poco a poco vas aumentando los días. Incluso ya cambiando la cantidad de carne que te echas en el plato ayuda un montón. ¡La clave está en tener paciencia!

4. Comienza por lo fácil

Este punto va un poco de la mano del punto anterior. No quieras comenzar y enseguida saber hacer platos dignos de una estrella Michelin porque va a ser imposible.

Comienza con cambios pequeños y fáciles. Por ejemplo, cambiar el pollo por soja texturizada. Intenta empezar por cosas con sabores similares, y acostumbra tu paladar poco a poco al cambio de alimentación. Un gran consejo es comenzar por la carne roja, luego la carne blanca y, por último, el pescado.

5. No dejes que gane el hambre emocional

Debes combatir el apetito emocional (aquí te contamos qué es), y la ansiedad. Intenta tener siempre cerca algún tipo de snack vegetariano/vegano para poder calmar tus ansias sin tener que pecar. Lo primordial es tratar de no dejar que el hambre ansioso te venza.

Aun así puede haber momentos en los que simplemente lo necesites. Una gran opción es sustituir comidas poco sanas y con carne por otras opciones. Por ejemplo, unos frutos secos, una fruta, algo de hummus… ¡Hay un millón de opciones!
