Fashion Trends That Are Ending In 2020

10 diciembre, 2019 by Admin

Fashion trends are agreed-upon items by the society, which go viral and then everyone starts wearing. However, fashion is just like any other industry in the world. Therefore, it keeps changing and eliminating items while adding others. While most of the trends on this list have been quite international, some are not going to be as fashionable with the new decade. Here is a list of fashion trends that are ending in 2020.

Cow-print shoes, skirts and dresses have been the mainstream since few years ago. In fact, even Meghan Markle used to wear them in public appearances. However, in 2020, you will notice that items with cow-print will be sold less. Big fashion brands such as Zara and forever21 still have some in stock, but they are lowering the prices for a reason.

Chunky Sneakers

Probably the most owned pair of sneakers in the world. Unfortunately, the time has come to say goodbye to one of our favorites: Chunky sneakers. The also known as ‘‘dad sneakers» are set to retire in 2020. So, if you have a pair, you better enjoy wearing it before it’s time to shelve them.

High Sandals

Basically, anything with an exaggerated platform is expected to make its way out of fashion trends. High beach sandals have been a lot of celebrities’ favorites during the past year. However, next summer you will probably see a different type of sandals taking over.

Small Sun Glasses

2019 has been the breakout of several small fashion items. Celebrities walking the red carpet with extremely small handbags, that made the headlines everywhere. Small glasses were also a hit this year, but according to Cosmopolitan, this trend was mainly inspired by the 90s. Since we are entering a new decade, it makes sense that other glasses will replace them, such as Rihanna’s new large frames glasses revelation.

Heeled Thongs

Finally, thongs and heels are quite difficult to explain. However, it has been trendy since 2017. More brands are starting to create different types of heeled sandals, in order to replace heeled thongs. Although this trendy item is expected to make it out of the fashion list for 2020, you can never say never. Fashion ultimately ends up bringing back older trends at some point.

3 Ideas For Easy DIY Bath Bombs

3 diciembre, 2019 by Admin

Taking a shower is one the most relaxing activities we can do for free. Moreover, sometimes, the body and mind need more than just a regular shower. And who doesn’t like a nice bath with nice-smelling bath bombs. If you want to save some bucks and still have an awesome bath time, check these 3 ideas for easy DIY bath bombs, that Nifty enables you to make from scratch.

Cupcake Bath Bombs

To create this piece of art, you will need baking soda, Epsom salt, corn starch, and citric acid mixed together. Then, add vanilla extract, coconut oil and purple coloring little by little to the mixture. Finally, put the mix into cupcake paper and let it chill. In order to prepare the frosting, mix in a seperate bowl 3 tea spoons of merengue powder, water and powdered sugar. Use the mixer until you reach the same frosting mixture you would usually put on cupckakes. Decorate the cupckakes, add sprinkles if you want, and let it set for about 10 minutes.

Geode Bath Bombs

To prepare bath bombs inspired by geode form, first, mix in a bowl Citric acid with Epsom salt, baking sodaand cornstarch. Use a spoon to remove gently, then add coconut oil and water while removing the mix. Finally, add soap dye and an essential oil of your choice.

In seperate small bowls, add Epsom salt with few drops of soap dye and keep removing it. Prepare the first layer with the latest mixture, then keep adding layers from the mix you prepared first. Make sure to press with your thumb after every layer, and start with lighter colors. At the end, refrigiate it for 3 hours and start your soothing shower.

Black Dragon Bath Bombs

Use the same mixture as in the previous bath bombs. Then, prepare a spray bottle and fill it with 4 TSP of coconut oil. Then, add black soap dye. Moreover, shake the bottle until the color is one. Spray the mixture slowly while removing until it all picks up on the black color of the soap. You can then take any shaped mold you want, put the mix into it, and then refrigiate it for two hours. Once you take it out of the freezer, take off the mold, and you are set to go.

4 Tips to Correctly Remove Your Makeup

29 noviembre, 2019 by Admin

We all know the importance of correctly removing makeup at the end of everyday. However, it is not enough to just wipe it off your face. Furthermore, you need to make sure to truly clean and moisturize your face before going to bed. Makeup residues can cause serious damage to your skin, therefore, we’ve gathered for you these 4 tips to help you correctly remove your makeup.

Take Your Time

Let’s be real, we all have rushed into removing our makeup before. Coming back home late, or after a party makes you spend less time in front of the mirror. However, frequently doing so can cost you a lot. In fact, Dermatologist Ranella Hirsch insists on applying makeup remover, letting it set for few minutes than brush it off. Long story short, if it takes you 5 minutes to remove your make up, you are not doing it correctly.

Cotton Pads Are Better Than Cotton Balls

Flat cotton pads are definitely better, and easier to use than cotton balls. Why? Well, mainly because cotton balls break easily and might »leave fibers on your lashes or skin,» says dermatologist Rebecca Kazin. On the other hand, using few flat cotton pads will ensure you don’t leave any makeup residue behind. Also, make sure not to rub too hard on your skin, and even less when it comes to correctly removing makeup from the eye area.

Use Soap And Water

Unpopular advice: Soap and water actually clean better than makeup wipes. Actually, they do a great job as an initial part in your makeup removal routine, but should always be followed by deep cleansing. Make sure to always follow up through washing your face with soap and water, in order to properly clean the pores and avoid skin irritation.

Moisturizing Is Important

There are plenty of factors in our daily lives that make us dehydrated. Therefore, just as you need to drink water to revive your body, you must hydrate your skin as well. As a finish to removing your makeup and cleaning your face, add a moisturizer. Lip balm for the lips, castor oil for the eye lashes, and the right moisturizing cream for your face area.

How To Get Natural Long Eyelashes At Home?

26 noviembre, 2019 by Admin

Eyelashes win big focus in our daily make up routine. In fact, psychologists even researched why women are so obsessed with having long, dark eyelashes. Although false lashes can be done quickly at the beauty salon, they are often expensive and weaken your natural ones.

In order to avoid frequent visits to the salon, here are our tips for you, to get natural long eyelashes at home. No falsies required!

Castor Oil

Strong eyelashes strike the eye, because they frame your face and lift your eye make up. However, as we grow older, lashes start to get thinner and eventually fall off. Fortunately, castor oil could be one of the best home remedies for that.

You will need 1 teaspoon of castor oil, and cotton swabs. All you have to do is to remove your make up, clean your face well, and make sure to dry your lashes. Then, dip the cotton in castor oil, and apply gently on your eyelashes without letting it get in your eye. Repeat before bed everyday and you will notice the results yourself. You can also use coconut oil if you can’t get your hands on castor oil.

Vitamin E

One of the most argued reasons for eyelashes falling out, is lack of vitamin E. However, you can always get a supplement intake of vitamins through pills. Talk to your doctor for the right Vitamin supplement. You should be able to take it everyday, because its antioxidant properties help reduce damage that might be causing hair loss.

Green Tea

Did you think that the green tea bags in your kitchen would be useful for your eyelashes? Well, if you didn’t know, here is how to use green tea to your lashes’ favor.

Add a teaspoon of green tea to hot water, then steep for 5 minutes. Next, let it cool off then dip the cotton swab in the tea, and apply it gently to your upper and lower lashes.

Vaseline

Just like you did with castor oil. All mascara should be removed prior to the use of anything on your lashes. Dip the cotton swab in vaseline, then apply it to your eyelids. Make sure it doesn’t get into your eye, by using a little portion of vaseline. Leave it overnight, then rinse it off first thing in the morning.

Simple Daily Massage

Scalp massages are the best! not only that they make you feel relaxed, they also have multiple health benefits. In addition to improving blood circulation in your body, research have shown that they increase hair thickness as well. Try massaging your scalp and eyelids gently to obtain similar results.

5 Tips For A Successful First Date

22 noviembre, 2019 by Admin

When it comes to going on a first date, most people get a bit nervous. Leaving a first good impression could be very hard sometimes, especially with the new modern culture of dating. If you are planing on going out with someone you really like for the first time, here is our list of tips to have a successful first date.

Don’t Interview The Other Person

Although you want to get to know this new person, and see how they may fit in your life, please do not interview them. People tend to get uncomfortable when the other person has prepared targeting questions. You can always replace that with suggesting a topic and giving your opinions about it. That way, not only you get to know how this person thinks, but also to question his critical thinking and general knowledge.

Don’t Do All The Speaking

It’s very important to listen in order to understand instead of to respond. If you want to establish a connexion with someone, you have to show your active listening skills. Nothing screams a second date more than showing interest through listening.

Offer To Split The Bill

Let’s get this clear, there is no rule that states men should always get the bill on the first date. Although some prefer offering to pay, you should at least suggest to share the bill. In most occasions, they refuse to let you help because of wide-spread cultural beliefs of gender roles. However, offering to help will give away the impression that you are helpful and supportive.

A Perfect Match doesn’t Require Perfect Compatibility

If you have chemistry with this person, you will know. However, it is completely normal to have things common and still be different. Don’t be afraid to realize that a perfect match doesn’t have to be your soulmate. you can agree, disagree and still be able to share a conversation with mutual respect.

Be Yourself

Most importantly, be yourself. All the tips above are very handy. But, nothing will get you a second date than being spontaneous. Obviously, you don’t have to be an open book like you are with your friends and family, but being yourself often gets you extra points and gives off a good impression on a first date.

5 Trendy Ways To Style Your Scarf

19 noviembre, 2019 by Admin

Scarves are perfect accessories for any outfit. While many people resort to wearing a scarf to keep warm in the winter, they have become super fashionable every season. In fact, BBC just released a report, in which they identified scarves as the new »power symbol for women.» Therefore, and as there are multiple ways you can wear them, we made you this list of 5 trendy ways to style your scarf.

The Barcelona Trend

This is one of the most common ways to style your scarf. It will work typically for long scarves. It’s used to protect your neck from the cold temperature. The Barcelona style will go with all your outfit choices: Dresses, skirts, jackets and even coats. This is how to style it in 4 easy steps.

Drape your scarf around your neck, with equal ends. Then, loop the scarf once and tie a knot near the loop. Next, pull the loop to hide the knot, and voilà!

The NYC

NYC Trend originally comes from the cold NYC weather. You style this scarf entirely around your neck, to keep you extra warm. If you happen to live in a cold area, the NYC style will be quite handy for you. All you need is a nice, asymmetrically long scarf.

Fold the scarf in half, then place it around your neck. Take one end of the scarf, pull it through the loop, then twist the loop to add a dashing look to your outfit.

The Knotty

This trend also works best with long scarves. However, it would look extra nice over a blazer, or a corporate outfit. It gives away a classy look. Follow these 4 steps to get it done easily.

Place the scarf around your neck again, then tie a knot in the middle of the scarf. Then,  Leave some space and tie another knot below. Repeat until you have no more space to tie knots.

The Parisian

Inspired from French movie stars, the Parisian is a must-try look. You will need a square scarf, preferably a unicolor one. You’ll need to fold it into a triangle, and place it on the front of your neck. Tie an easy knot behind your neck, and pull the ends to the side in order to tie one last side knot. Make sure to adjust the scarf, especially if you are wearing a coat on top.

The Damsel

Finally, who said scarves go only on your neck? If you have a square summer scarf, and you would like to use it, here is a trick for you.

The damsel allows you to use the scarf as a super fashionable head band. How? You fold the scarf into the triangle and roll it up, then wrap it up around your head and tie a double knot at the end. Finally, tuck the knot behind your hair, and adjust it over your head.
